A commitment to professionalism in the real estate industry led to an over a decade of service as a director of the Eastern Middlesex Association of Realtors, and a term as EMAR president. Chris served as 1994 Strategic Planning Committee chairperson for the Massachusetts Association of Realtors. He was EMAR’s 1995 Realtor of the Year.

Chris is currently serving as a Trustee of the Beebe Library and Co President of the Wakefield Area Chamber of Commerce.  The Wakefield Area CoC is committed to improving and enhancing business as well as the Wakefield area communities as a whole. Additionally, Chris serves as Sponsorship Chairperson of one of Wakefield's marquee events, Blossoms at the Beebe. 

Chris is married to Karen (Post) Barrett. She is also involved in the town serving as a two-sport varsity head coach at Wakefield Memorial High School.  Chris and Karen live in Wakefield and, between them, have three thriving young adults and two beautiful grandchildren.
